The written guide is still being researched, but the map layer is already built. It shows unpatented Crown land where CLUPA policy supports ATV use, with private land, provincial parks and conservation reserves taken out, and it distinguishes areas where policy allows riding on designated trails only against riding both on and off trail.

ATV policy areas are sparse compared with hunting: 4,646 parcels against 42,569. The link below opens near Temagami, which is the densest cluster.

A CLUPA policy that permits ATV use is not permission to ride anywhere inside the area. Posted signs, trail rules and municipal bylaws all still apply, and a sign reading "motor vehicle traffic prohibited beyond this point" closes the ground to everyone.
