CrownAccess Plus
Find Crown land that better fits your camping trip
The free CrownAccess map shows every Crown parcel where camping policy says yes. Crown Campsite Finder goes further: it compares terrain-aware access, flatter ground, water distance, forest, tree cover, and terrain openness to rank possible areas for drive-up, short-walk, or hike-in trips. Sign in to try one free Finder session; it ends when you close the layer, and Plus keeps it available whenever you plan. The Finder is a Temagami pilot today. The public map stays free.
What Plus adds
Choose how you want to arrive
Switch between Drive-up, Short walk, and Hike-in. Access scores use mapped roads, elevation, and Tobler terrain-aware travel time rather than straight-line distance alone.
Understand every match
Each area shows separate Access, Ground, and Camp setting scores. Narrow the map by match score, forest type, average tree height, water distance, and terrain openness.
Private Adventure Points
Save places privately, add notes, and return to the same locations across your devices.
Crown Campsite Finder is currently a Temagami pilot and covers one mapped area north of Lake Temagami, not the whole province. It shows candidate areas, not confirmed campsites, and does not guarantee Crown status, legal access, parking, road condition, safety, or permission. Always verify official sources and field conditions.
What it does not do
The model uses mapped datasets and estimates. It cannot confirm whether a road is currently passable, whether parking is legal or safe, whether an unmapped barrier or wet patch exists, or whether a particular tent pad works on the ground. It narrows where to look. It does not tell you that you may camp somewhere.
Upgrade from the map
Open the map, choose Crown Campsite Finder, and sign in to start your one free session. It ends when you close the layer, or after 30 minutes if you leave it open. After that, Plus keeps the Finder available and supports more Ontario coverage to come.
